Simply put, why not. One major thing people complain about with line dried clothing is that it makes the clothes stiff. This can be solved by adding a cup of vinegar in the rinse cycle (in the fabric softener dispenser). This removes all the excess soap.

It appears that the retractable line type models do not get the greatest reviews. So I think I will just go with some drying racks. The master bedroom windows face south so the rack will be in the sun most of the day. Again, reading the reviews, the only racks that get reasonable reviews are chrome metal types.

Amazon has it for abot $30. I will call a few local stores first and see if they have it. Even if I only dry half of my clothes on theses rack, they will have payed for themselves in a little over a year.
